2010 Review

I meant to post this last month, but forgot. So here we go. 2010 started on a low note. I was unemployed, had no money, and was stressed out beyond belief. It ended on a high note.

I got to see one of my favorite bands from my teenage years, Everclear. At the same time, I finally got to attend the Vans  Warped Tour. Both of which I wanted to do since 1995. I even got to shake Art Alexakis’ hand. I told him how much his music has meant to me and that it had taken me 15 years to finally see him. The smile on his face showed that he was very thrilled to be able to affect people the way he affected me.

I got to see one of my favorite comics of all time, Adam Carolla. Adam clearly molded me. My comedic style is a blatant rip off of his. My rants, this entire website, is based on his material. Sure his 2 hours was just old stories I have heard a million times on Loveline, but the fact he was in the same building as me was wonderful.

I started driving a lot more. Since my car accident, I have driven occasionally as needed. This year I finally have come to the realization that I am still able to drive.

I got an amazing job, where I seem to be well liked and they treat me remarkably well. Sure, it’s back on the Audit, but I get paid a lot more than I made as a manager with almost no responsibility. I just work with spreadsheets and look pretty. The time flies bye, and I can’t believe I have been here for a year already.

Finally, I met a wonderful young lady. She has been the reason I was able to do so much in one year. She puts up with me, encourages me to be better, and is extremely laid back. There is no drama. It is so relaxed. It’s wonderful.

So let’s hope 2011 is just as great.

My name is Chris. I currently live in Seattle, though I’m formerly from California. I'm a writer, comic, and superhero (allegedly). I complain. A lot. About everything. I also tell jokes.
