I REALLY Hate Dell

Here’s an update on my lovely duel with the fine people at Dell.

I received an email yesterday stating that the part was in and would be shipped to the address on file. Naturally, this was the old address, not the address I gave them a week ago. So I called to update the address. Then I asked what part was being sent to me, as wouldn’t the part be shipped to them so they could install it on my computer? Turns out they are mailing me a battery. Not the motherboard, the battery. So when I told them that “it was the battery” and to “just send it to me and I will do it myself”, and I got “no it’s the motherboard you have to send it to us to fix”, naturally it was all a waste of my time. So now I have to make sure my hackbook isn’t sent to my old job (awkward) and then when I do get it, I have to install the fucking battery myself anyway. Why did I send it to them in the first place?

I swear, next time this breaks, I am going to just send it back, scream, and demand my money back.

Fuck Dell. Seriously.

My name is Chris. I currently live in Seattle, though I’m formerly from California. I'm a writer, comic, and superhero (allegedly). I complain. A lot. About everything. I also tell jokes.

It’s all in the customer service. If you had received competent and prompt support from the beginning (i.e., from someone who knows something about computers), you’d be much less frustrated. I think bringing customer support back to the states isn’t really a financial option, but maybe improved training and hiring standards could do the trick.
