    Review: Captain America: Civil War

Note: First posted to my Facebook page May 8th, 2016. This won’t have much in the way of spoilers. Let’s get this out of the way. Lots of people will compare it to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice due to the stupidly long name, they’re both about heroes fighting each other, they both have extra characters, and they both came out near each other. But they are very different movies. Civil War is about responsibility and consequences. Batman V Superman was about… something… I think.

    Review: Star Trek Beyond

Every once in a while, I’ll post a short review on a movie I’ve seen. I’ve been posting these to my Facebook page, but I figured, I’ve got this website, so I might as well use it. The first one is for Star Trek Beyond. I’ll warn you before I mention spoilers.

    The Case for Secession

I could have sworn that I’ve ranted about this before, but I guess not. By now, some of you have seen some variation of the image above. If you google “dumbfuckistan” you’ll find everything from internet memes, to hats, to even panties for some reason. This makes me think of an idea I’ve had for years. Forced secession.

    Artsy Fartsy

Modern Art is a cop-out. Let’s be clear here, though. I don’t mean “art in modern times”. I mean a style of art called “modern” or “conceptual”. Back in the long long ago, art required skill. Now, anyone can vomit on some canvas and call it “art.”

Server Build Part 3: Domain Level Ad-Blocking with Pi-Hole

Welcome back. So far, we have installed and setup XenServer on a rack mounted server. We’ve also installed a guest OS. Part 1 can be found here, and Part 2 can be found here. Today, we are going to install a domain level ad-blocker. I’ve been working on this stupid part for months. Literally months. I’ve had absolute no luck until a few hours ago, so I wanted to write my steps down before I forget. This has been an absolute nightmare.

Fun With Numbers: 2016 Presidential Election

I’m writing this March 8th, 2016, so there are quite a few caucuses (caucii?) to go. That said, the media has been doing absolutely everything they can to diminish Bernie Sanders as a candidate, and everything he’s accomplished so far. In full disclosure, even though I’m not a journalist, and this website is just for me to complain about stuff and make dick jokes, I am a supporter of Bernie Sanders, and plan to vote for him in the WA caucus, later this month.

    Riddler Umbrella

I know that an umbrella is more of a Penguin thing, and the Riddler is known for his cane, but I thought the question mark handle would be ideal for an umbrella. When I couldn’t find one, I decided to make one. This ended up being quite expensive. But looks amazing.

    Review: Sterling-Scott ties

I am known for my tie knots. I always wear my neck ties with crazy knots. I’ve got an entire album on my Facebook page dedicated to them. A year ago, I heard of a new type of tie, called the Sterling-Scott. When I first saw them, I thought, wow, these are expensive. But I still had to have one. So I bought two. Then a few months later, I loved them so much, that I bought two more.
